Water for our health

Pure drinking water and optimal water supply

Thomas Klein, Raimund von Helden

Many people suffer from chronic dehydration without realizing it. One reason for this is the suppression of thirst through salty foods. Dehydration worsens mood, short-term memory, and concentration, causes fatigue, impairs well-being, and reduces physical performance. It weakens the immune system, exacerbates allergies, and promotes the formation of kidney stones. In the long term, it damages the kidneys (leading to kidney failure in old age) and contributes to eye diseases (e.g., clouding of the lens, macular degeneration, and glaucoma). Dehydration can even promote insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity, as well as cancer, high blood pressure, and arteriosclerosis, which are associated with an increased risk of dementia and heart attacks. Those who want to remain healthy and active in old age must ensure they are well-hydrated at all times. Drinking pure water is ideal for this.

Everything comes from water, and everything is sustained by water.
